The Citizen Oversight Group was formed by concerned citizens in Marshall County in the wake of passage of the $28 million bond in November, 2006.

By attending BOE meetings and through Freedom of Information requests, COG has discovered a disturbing pattern of fiscal irresponsibility and disregard for rules and policies by members of the BOE. COG will be keeping a close eye on the money the BOE takes in, and what they're spending it on. We'll also make sure the BOE adheres to the requirements and policies set forth by the West Virginia State Board of Education.

COG will make all information we obtain available to the public through this Website. All FOIA requests, and the responses from the BOE, will be posted here.
